December Happy Planner & A5 Designs

It’s the last month of 2020. How is this possible? I can’t say that I’m sad to see it go. This year has been quite the roller coaster of a year. I’ve been thru it all…deep sorrow, happiness, frustration, and appreciation. With the stay at home orders in Illinois, I’ve gone from being somewhat of a homebody, to a complete hermit in a few months time. It’s gotten so that I don’t even want to leave the house unless I have to.

This month I continued to struggle a bit with staying on top of my planner designs. Having a puppy around and taking care of him has been demanding of my time and honestly, my priority. He’s only a puppy for a short time and I am the only one in my house that takes care of him. Dobermans require training, activities, and exercise to keep their mind and body healthy so I fit in the planner designs when I can. 🐾

This is what I came up with for the first week of the month.

Happy Planner Dashboard Layout

I only had time to create two of my work daily sheets, so this is what I came up with.

Then for the 2nd week, I broke out the Christmas sticker books and used quite a bit from all of them.

For my work planner pages, this is what I came up with. I just realized when I was adding these photos that I had the date wrong on the Thursday sheet and never noticed it! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Oh well, it served it’s purpose anyway.

For Christmas week I came up with the design below. Wasn’t really thrilled with it though. The stickers in the 2020 Happy Planner Winter book are adorable, but I don’t feel like I captured enough of the holiday with the stickers I chose.

These are my daily A5 sheets that I use to track my work. I think these daily layouts were more festive than my Happy Planner design.

Another thing I am struggling with of late is the fact that I don’t have a Happy Planner for 2021 yet and the New Year is only a week and a half way!! Yikes! Problem is that, like in years past, the folks at Happy Planner didn’t make a planner design that is neutral, meaning no color. The Homebody Dashboard planner that I used for the second half of the year has some color in it, but it’s not much and I can either work with it or cover it with stickers. The 2021 Dashboards are full of color and that just won’t work for me. Soooooo, I am going to take a stab at making my my own planner pages. I really didn’t want it to come to that, I sure don’t have time for it right now, but I haven’t found anything else that I could use instead. I’ll post some photos of what I come up with when I get them ready.

Well, here’s the last spread of 2020! It’s hard to believe that I’ve filled another planner with accomplishments, goals, and ideas! I spent some additional time making stickers for this spread, which is everything in purple. I included an angled photo of it as well so you could see the shimmer of the silver stickers.

To finish out the year, here are the last of the 2020 daily sheets for my A5:

I’m still working on creating a weekly layout of my own. Hopefully I’ll have something to work with soon and I’ll be sure to post pictures of it when I do.

Happy New Year to you!! Next up – 2021!
