Planners & Designs

January 2022 Planner Designs

Welcome back!

Happy New Year to you. Let’s hope that this year is better than the last two.

I’ve been quiet on the planner designs, I know. Last year I wasn’t able to find exactly what I was looking for from The Happy Planner. What I did find was more work than I wanted to dedicate to make it into what I needed each week. Instead, I ended up using some daily Cloth & Paper sheets in my A5. While functional, I didn’t decorate any of them, so they were not fun to look at.

For 2022 however, Happy Planner finally made another neutral Dashboard planner that is almost exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t able to find it on their website, but Joann has it. Maybe it’s exclusive to them? Anyway, this the Sewing Happy Planner. I thought this was a very specific niche for them to create a planner from, but the colors are nice and it even came with some sewing related stickers. There are also some sewing reference guides and a sheet each month to track sewing projects. Although I do sew, I won’t be using those extras.

For this year, I’ve also bought some sticker books from other vendors and quite a few clip art designs on Etsy. I’ll turn the clip art into stickers, which will broaden my design options. I can’t wait for you to see them!! Just as a teaser, I’ve fallen in love with Gnomes this year. 😁

Anyway, this is what the new planner looks like:

I’ll probably swap out the peachy pink rings for my gold ones that I love so much.

For Christmas this year I received a photo box! Yay! I’m so excited that I’ll be able to have some consistency in my photos! Also received more stickers! Pretty crazy that an adult gets excited over stickers, but it’s true. I also received some much needed accessories for my Silhouette sticker creations. In the meantime, I’m learning the photo box so hopefully these pics turn out well. This is the one I was gifted. What makes this one special is that you can download an app to your phone to control it, which is much easier to do than using the remote control it came with.

For the first week of the year, I chose some blue Winter florals from the Winter Wonderland sticker book made by live.love.POSH, a few boxes from the Jewel Tone Boxes Happy Planner book, and some of my own stickers. I’m ready to get 2022 started!

For the second week of the new year, I branched out again and used some floral stickers from the Winter Florals sticker book by Kell of a Plan and then some of my own stickers to go along with it. I love the rich colors in this layout.

Next up, I used stickers from the Winter Wonderland book again, a couple from the Winter – Happy Planner book, and of course, some of my own.

For the next week of the month, I used the orange/red tones in the floral stickers as my color inspiration. Those florals came from the Happy Planner Seasons of Color sticker book, but I also used stickers from the Southern Farmhouse and Jewel Tone boxes Happy Planner books. I managed to create this one without having to make any of my own stickers.

For the last week of the month I used some clipart from DesyReeDesigns on Etsy. I really liked the calm and cozy colors that she chose for this so I carried her color choices over into the stickers that I made.

Well, that’s it for now. Check back again soon to see what I create for February!
